Today our story starts in a small town in India, situated in the desert, at night the skies are completely clear, and the gems of stars twinkle in pinks and blues. Never sure if it’s a reflection of the colourful country I frequent or a play on my eyes, I love it all the same.
Morning comes, with a warm breeze as the air heats from the suns blaze, ready, I jump on my scooter and head to my favourite spot, of which I likely won’t see much else for the foreseeable days. The shop, decked in ornate blue patterns, it’s like being inside a porcelain vase. With lots of gems, just like the stars - and other like minded souls, that warm heart.
The hub of creativity rings through the streets, as people hurry here and their, pushkar is a hub of creation, that dates back centuries, with the most complex of traditional crafts originating here. For me it’s about crafting exquisite pieces that not only adorn but also tell a story, from conception through to the journey each piece will take with you.
Inside the ornate shop, I meet with the sons first, Krishna (named after his fathers favourite god) and his cousin who knows every stone! Up on he mezzanine we begin unrolling small wraps of tissue paper to reveal stones and after stone, each wrap is more dangerous than the last as I pick through, it takes a meticulous eye and a hard hand when I want far more than necessary.
I’m looking for the perfect shapes and the ideal shine, that is just asking to be transformed into something more magnificent. What sparks me is that each piece will eventually go to a home, be worn on travels and for special occasions, perhaps be gifted by a friend and then forever hold a connection between the two. But mostly, the energy it will give you, the vibrancy that will shine from you when you wear it.
Inspired for this collection by the stars above me, that also are above you. The connectedness we have to one another and the universe around us. The moon that forever shines each night passing from me here, to you there, look to the sky and we all see the same moon.
I’ve limited this collection not only but mainly to just 4 stones, especially because of the properties they hold and connection to the concept. I wanted stones that would bring you a connection to higher self, the spirit, the universe around us.
No 1 - Owyhee Blue Opal - this beautiful smooth and calming stone will aid in spiritual healing, expanding consciousness and overcoming fears, I’m calling it the “take back your power” stone. It has that kind of cool calm collected, don’t mess with me vibe.
No 2 - Labradorite - an old favourite I know, and why? Because this one is THE stone for TRANSFORMATION!! Feel something coming, a shift in job or relationship and feel like hiding in your duvet about it - this one has got your back - get up, get out, cross that line and never look back with your labradorite the "Leveling up” stone.
No 3 - Gold Rutilated Quartz - a New one on the block, but I’ve always been drawn to it and it’s no surprise why. This magic stone is here to give you new energy towards those manifestations!! Relieving all negative emotions that aren’t serving you, and lifting you into a new confidence supercharging you towards you all the wealth and happiness you are dreaming of! “The super power” stone, only share with those you trust.

Calm yourself, cool your anxieties, mellow your moods, let moonstone be there for you. Step into your feminine, and own your essence with this beautiful stone, I have some beautiful pendants coming in this, "the Talisman of peace”
Stones selected, I begin sketching, returning to the shop daily to discuss the next designs and review what’s been expertly created inbetween times. With each piece that comes back it seems to spark new ideas, discussed out with the master to see what might be possible next. His ability to understand my vision and execute it with precision is truly remarkable. There’s even a shared excitement, over time, our partnership has grown, and I'm constantly excited to push the boundaries of what we can create together. With new ideas already ruminating for new pieces.
